Giant Opens Largest Spanish Storein Palma

It is the third opening after San Sebastian in 2022 and Malaga in May of this year
Bike manufacturer Giant has opened its largest store in Spain in Palma de Mallorca. This is the third of the brand's stores to open in Spain in just over a year. It opened its first store in San Sebastián (Guipúzcoa) in 2022, when the company celebrated its first fifty years. The one at Malaga airport was opened in May 2023, followed by the one in Palma in August, which was opened at the end of October.
The new Giant store in the Balearic Islands, located ten minutes by bike from the centre of Palma, has a 550-square metre showroom and workshop. Aimed at all cycling fans, the inauguration was attended by some of the sport's biggest names, including Miguel Induráin, Joseba Beloki and Mallorcan rider Mavi García.
Craftsmanship and innovation
Founded in 1972, the Taiwanese brand prides itself on combining craftsmanship and innovation in its designs. It has indeed pioneered advances in super-lightweight aluminium frames and other materials such as composites and carbon fibre, as well as other elements such as suspension.
There are two entrepreneurs behind the opening in Mallorca: Xisco Lliteras, director of the Mallorca 312 cycling race, and Miguel Induráin jnior. United by their passion for cycling and their relationship with the sport on the island, they have created a business that attracted more than a hundred guests at its inauguration party.
Means of transport
With distribution points throughout Spain, the first mono-brand store opened in San Sebastian in May 2022 with a bike tour of the city. Giant Ibérica's director, José Casla, took the opportunity to promote the bicycle not only as a piece of sports equipment, but also as a means of transport.
On this occasion, the inauguration of the LIV shop, the first Giant shop in Spain and the second in Europe, was a double inauguration, created specifically to bring cycling closer to women. The openings in Malaga and Palma underline the commitment to the physical store as part of the company's omnichannel strategy.
