Rovensa Group launches research unit dedicated to seeking sustainable solutions for Spanish agriculture

With Tradecorp International and in collaboration with the Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics at the Polytechnic University of Madrid

With the aim of responding to global food challenges and helping farmers to increase the production of healthy food, Tradecorp International has set up a Joint Research Unit in Spain in collaboration with the Centre for Plant Biotechnology and Genomics (Polytechnic University of Madrid - UPM). Tradecorp is part of the Portuguese Rovensa Group, a world leader in sustainable solutions for agriculture.

This new state-of-the-art innovation facility serves as an accelerator to expand the ecosystem in the field of biostimulants, promoting research, generating knowledge and developing new solutions that are both efficient and innovative.

The sector is firmly committed to the development of biostimulants, as these have shown to help decrease the use of chemical-based inputs, reducing residues left in the soil and the environment and making it possible to produce healthier, good quality food in a sustainable way.

Spain is a benchmark in research in the area of agriculture and plant biotechnology, and is considered one of the world's leading powers in scientific journal rankings.
