EAE Business School Barcelona and ICEX-Invest in Spain support international entrepreneurs
They promote the Rising Up in Spain programme, aimed at the creation of foreign start-ups, through EAE Emprende Barcelona.
EAE Business School Barcelona, part of Planeta Formación y Universidades, and ICEX-Invest in Spain are promoting the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Spain and attracting international talent through the Rising Up in Spain programme, an initiative aimed at attracting foreign start-ups to set up in the country.
Rising Up in Spain is an ICEX-Invest in Spain win-win programme for foreign start-ups looking to establish and grow in Spain. It offers legal advice on setting up a business and a personalised acceleration programme that includes a wide range of services such as personalised mentoring, training, access to investors, information on support programmes in Spain and introductions to local partners, among many others.
The collaboration between the two entities will allow the start-ups participating in this programme, who wish to launch their project in the Catalan capital, to set up in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Centre of EAE Emprende Barcelona, located in Pier 1.
The implementation of new projects in the city will mean the development of links, business competitiveness, technological innovation, job creation and investment attraction, as well as increased learning synergies and the networking of the entrepreneurial projects of EAE Barcelona students.
In this context, the Director of Financing and Investor Relations at ICEX-Invest in Spain, Alberto Sanz, highlights the importance of public-private collaboration to promote the attraction of talent and the dynamisation of the Spanish entrepreneurial ecosystem. He emphasises that, in line with these objectives, Rising Up in Spain "supports the establishment of foreign start-ups in Spain, promotes their integration into our economic fabric and seeks to position us as one of the most important technology and innovation hubs in Europe".
Natalia Bagnati, Director of EAE Emprende Barcelona, explains that "with this collaboration, we underline the role of EAE Business School Barcelona as one of the strategic partners in the Catalan entrepreneurial ecosystem. It will also further strengthen Barcelona's entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, energise its business fabric, attract talent and be an important source of inspiration for the city's entrepreneurial spirit.
