The World Bank is going to publish B‑Ready 2025 in Spain, the successor to the former Doing Business in Spain 2015.

It is an initiative of the European Union and will focus on the regulatory framework, public services, and the efficiency of the following areas:

a. Business incorporation.

b. Business location (property transfers, construction permits, and environmental permits).

c. Public services (electricity, water, and Internet).

d. Dispute resolution. e. Insolvency.

The objective of this study will be to assess and compare the situation of each of these indicators across Spain’s Autonomous Communities and Autonomous Cities.

To this end, the World Bank has required the cooperation of all territorial administrations whose competences may influence each of these indicators. Naturally, in addition to the collaboration of the General State Administration and the corresponding Regional Administration, it also requires the cooperation of Local Authorities, which hold powers in several of these areas.

The Executive Directorate of ICEX–Invest in Spain has collaborated in the preparation of this report by providing World Bank experts with regional and local contacts who could supply the information necessary for drafting the report.
