The first Hampton hotel in Spain will be in Alcobendas

The US chain takes a very favorable view of the growth of tourism in Spain

The Hilton hotel group has reached an agreement to open what will be its first Hampton brand hotel in Spain, in Alcobendas (Madrid). It will be the latest addition to the over 140 hotels already run by this brand in Europe.

The first Hampton by Hilton in Spain will open in June 2019, thanks to the franchise agreements signed by the US chain with Proyecto HbH Alcobendas, SL. Panoram Hotel Management will be in charge of managing the establishment.

The new hotel will have 138 rooms, an open-air swimming pool, a gym and several meeting rooms. Its location –9 km outside Madrid airport and very close to the city– is strategic for the company, as it is one of the main European destinations, and last year received almost seven million visitors.

Second most visited country in the world
According to Patrick Fitzgibbon, Hilton's senior vice president for development in the EMEA region: “Hampton by Hilton is our fastest growing brand, with nearly 70 trading hotels and a further 70 in development. Spain’s tourism industry also has great momentum. The country overtook the USA as the second most visited country in the world, welcoming 82 million people last year. It’s a great time to be introducing Hampton by Hilton to Spain”.

For his part, Guillermo Pérez Palacios, general manager of Panoram, adds: “We are excited to be bringing the Hampton by Hilton brand to Spain for the first time. The Hilton brand is already well respected within the city, and with Alcobendas seen as an important business hub, we think it is the perfect location for the new hotel”.
