Animation studio Digitoonz lands in Spain with first European headquarters

The Indian company's business model focuses on original productions, co-productions and services.
India-based animation studio Digitoonz Media & Entertainment, which has an office in Los Angeles (California, USA), has announced the opening of its first European headquarters in Madrid. The company's 360-degree business model includes original productions, both animated and live-action series and feature films, co-productions and a series of services ranging from distribution to purchasing and marketing of licences and merchandising.
The President of Digitoonz Media & Entertainment Spain will be Maria Bonaria Fois, who has over 25 years’ experience in the industry. The Spanish branch will be tasked with strengthening the company's 2D and 3D animation, visual effects and video game services in order to secure its position in the European animation industry. To do this, it will produce quality content, seek co-productions and acquire content to build a comprehensive catalogue of animated content.
Growth of the audiovisual industry
Digitoonz CEO and founder Vikas Kumar said, “Opening an office in Madrid is in line with our long-term vision for growth and innovation in the animation industry, given Spain's growing role as a production hub for high-quality content and its thriving audiovisual sector”.
On the subject of the President for the Spanish subsidiary, Kumar said, “We are delighted to have Maria on our team. European basis
Bonaria Fois responded, “The opportunity to lead Digitoonz's European expansion operation, starting with establishing our new headquarters in Madrid, excites me enormously”.
