The German group Rhenus Automotive decides on Aragon

It is estimated that its 6.2-million-euro investment will support the creation of 110 jobs

According to declarations from the Government of Aragon, the German group Rhenus Automotive will invest 6.2 million euros and create nearly 110 jobs.

The company, which manufactures components for the automotive industry, has launched its project to open a new production center in Pedrola, Aragon. It will produce axles and shock absorbers for all the variants of the new Opel Corsa 2019, a model that will be produced entirely in PSA's plant in Figueruelas (also in Zaragoza).

One of the lines is designed to also produce components for the future electric Corsa that will be made in the same factory.

Rhenus has already started the works in Pedrola, which will be followed by a period of selection and training of the workers. The aim is for the plant to be completely finished this same year.

Rhenus Automotive Systems Zaragoza belongs to the Rhenus Automotive group, which in turn is part of the Rethmannn Group, a family-run holding company that has three independent divisions: Remondis, Rhenus and Saria.

Although this Group has only recently started up in Zaragoza, it is one of Europe's leading logistics and transport companies. Indeed, on a global level, the Rhenus Group has a business volume of over 29 billion euros, with 610 locations in its various lines of activity, all related to the transport and logistics sector.
