ICEX- Invest in Spain, through Spain’s Economic and Commercial Office in Santiago de Chile, will participate in Hangar 360, which will take place in Valdivia (Chile) on 26th and 27th September.

HANGAR 360, created by Zertior Chile and organised in collaboration with the Fundación Chile España, is the most important bilateral Chile-Spain event for international innovation and entrepreneurship.

This international meeting on innovation and entrepreneurship provides a platform for the internationalisation of start-ups from both countries and brings together the main players in the public-private innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. Valdivia 2024 will be the third edition of the event, after Santiago de Chile in 2022 and Malaga in 2023, where ICEX-Invest in Spain was also present. HANGAR 360 strengthens the link and expansion between Chile and Spain, opening up new opportunities for cooperation and growth in global markets.

Spain’s Economic and Commercial Office in Santiago de Chile will participate in the event's programme at the round table "Public Policies to Promote Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Internationalisation in Chile and Spain" on 26 September.

The World Bank is going to publish B‑Ready 2025 in Spain, the successor to the former Doing Business in Spain 2015. It is an initiative of the European Union and will focus on the regulatory framework, public services, and the efficiency of the following areas: a. Business incorporation. b. Business location (property transfers, construction permits, and environmental permits). c. Public services (electricity, water, and Internet). d. Dispute resolution. e. Insolvency. The objective of this study will be to assess and compare the situation of each of these indicators across Spain’s Autonomous Communities and Autonomous Cities. To this end, the World Bank has required the cooperation of all territorial administrations whose competences may influence each of these indicators. Naturally, in addition to the collaboration of the General State Administration and the corresponding Regional Administration, it also requires the cooperation of Local Authorities, which hold powers in several of these areas. The Executive Directorate of ICEX–Invest in Spain has collaborated in the preparation of this report by providing World Bank experts with regional and local contacts who could supply the information necessary for drafting the report.

Registrations close on May 19 at 17 :00 (UTC+2) ICEX, together with the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Bratislava, in collaboration with ZAP SR (Automotive Industry Association of the Slovak Republic), is organizing this virtual ICEX conference on May 20, 2026. The aim is to strengthen ties between the Spanish and Slovak automotive sectors, promoting business opportunities and facilitating the transfer of technology and knowledge. WHY PARTICIPATE Slovakia has established itself as one of Europe’s major automotive industrial hubs and as a relevant market for companies involved in advanced manufacturing, industrial digitalization, and the transition towards sustainable mobility. The weight of the automotive sector in its productive structure, the presence of major international manufacturers, the density of its supplier network, and its central European geographical position make the country a highly attractive environment for networking and exploring collaboration opportunities. In this context, the Slovak automotive sector is undergoing a transformation driven by electrification, automation, production efficiency, and the adaptation of its value chain to new technological requirements. This evolution is generating increasing demand for innovative solutions in areas such as process digitalization, smart manufacturing systems, higher value-added components, electromobility, and decarbonization technologies. For Spanish companies, this scenario presents a particularly strong fit. Spain has a competitive, internationalized automotive ecosystem with recognized capabilities in innovation, automation, sustainability, and technological development across the entire value chain. This conference therefore represents an opportunity to showcase these capabilities to key stakeholders in the Slovak sector and to identify potential avenues for industrial, commercial, and technological cooperation. Furthermore, participation in this conference provides access to a market which, despite its size, has a strong export orientation, a robust industrial base, and a strategic position within Central Europe. This makes Slovakia not only an attractive destination in itself, but also a relevant platform for integration into regional supply, innovation, and production dynamics within the automotive sector. This activity concludes the cycle of ICEX automotive events in Central Europe, following previous editions held in Hungary and the Czech Republic. The conference will be held in English.
