Who is who. Shooting in spain 2021: the perfect guide to learn everything about the spanish audiovisual industry

The publication is an at-a-glance guide with all the information that any filmmaker or foreign publicist interested in filming in Spain may need

As part of the Marché du Film-Festival in Cannes (France), the Spanish audiovisual industry launched a guide entitled 'Who is Who. Shooting in Spain 2021', the perfect way to learn all about the industry at a glance.

This project was promoted by ICEX España Exportación e Inversiones, a public body whose mission is to promote the internationalisation of Spanish companies and attract investment. It enjoys the collaboration of the industry through the Spanish Association of International Audiovisual Production Companies (PROFILM), the Audiovisual Industry Alliance (ALIA), the Spanish Association of Advertising Production Companies (APCP) and the Spain Film Commission.

The publication provides all the information that any foreign filmmaker interested in filming in Spain needs, whether they are looking for film or advertising producers and distributors, providers of technology and production services or how to contact the film commissions that are to be found throughout the country.

The guide includes:

27 regional promotion associations

85 audiovisual and advertising production companies

As well as the contact details for the Spain Film Commission and the Profilm, APCP and Alia associations

A publication that really opens the doors of the Spanish audiovisual industry to the international market; a guide that presents a dynamic and mature industry, employing more than 72,000 people in 6,700 companies, almost 350 of which are film producers.

The advantages of Spain also include favourable and simple legislation, as well as 30% tax incentives for international films and television series in Spain, and which are even more advantageous in other regions of the country, such as Navarre and the Canary Islands.

Finally, in March the Spanish Government designated the audiovisual industry as a strategic sector and approved the 'Spain, Audiovisual Hub for Europe' plan, with more than 1,600 million euros of public investment until 2025. The aim is to turn Spain into a leading country in audiovisual production in the digital era, a magnet for international investment and talent, and with a reinforced ecosystem for exporting and competing in international markets.
